Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for dancers and organizers. What is ToDance.today?
ToDance.today is a social dance event discovery platform. You can browse and filter events by city, distance, dance type, and organizer, and see live leader and follower balance before you go.
Where do I find dance courses?
Under Courses you find weekly courses from dance schools and organizers, filterable by city and dance style, with level, schedule and venue. Courses are separate from the event calendar. Depending on the school you sign up via its own link or right here on the course page (“Register via ToDance.today”) — the school confirms your spot and you get the answer in the bell and, if connected, via Telegram. All your course registrations are listed under Analytics → Courses.
How do I get notified (bell, Telegram)?
Everything lands in the bell at the top of the app: course confirmations, event reminders the day before events you marked Going or Interested, and more. To get it on your phone right away, connect Telegram under Settings → Notifications → “Connect Telegram” and tap “Start” in the ToDance bot — you only need the Telegram app. Each type can be switched off individually.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Discovering events and creating a dancer profile is completely free.
What dance styles are supported?
The platform covers Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk, and more. Suggest missing styles via the contact form.
How does the leader / follower balance work?
When dancers mark themselves as Going and select their role, the ratio updates in real time so you can plan ahead.
How is my personal data handled?
Your data is stored securely with Supabase. You can request deletion at any time. Details are in the privacy policy.
What if I no longer have access to my old email address?
Start again with the correct email. If your account is tied to an inaccessible address, contact support and we will review the case manually.
No email received / link expired / not logged in after confirmation?
No email: Check your spam or promotions folder, wait 60 seconds, then request a new link. Link expired: Request a new one via login or registration. Not logged in: Use the same browser you requested the link from.
I found a bug or have a feature request.
Use the contact form and choose Bug / Error or Feedback / Idea. Every message is reviewed.
What does the analytics page show me?
Under todance.today/analytics you see your upcoming RSVPs with a live leader/follower badge per event (green = balanced, yellow = slightly off, red = heavily off) and "You are needed" — events where your role is currently in the minority and your RSVP improves the balance. The info button on the page explains every metric.
What is Same Vibe?
Same Vibe is anonymous dancer matching. In the attendee list of an event you share, tap the lightning button to send a Same Vibe — the other dancer never sees a one-sided vibe. Only when both of you vibe each other you get a match: you are both notified and see each other’s upcoming events on the profile and under todance.today/analytics (“My Good Vibes”). You can withdraw a vibe at any time; the match then dissolves silently.
